Adults do not stop producing growth hormone as they get older; in fact, it's a myth that's spread by the HRT/TRT industry. However, as you get older, it's harder to activate the body’s release or pulse of growth hormone as frequently as you did when you were still growing; hence, the term “when I was younger...”. Who doesn't remember how great they felt at 18, versus 38!
Combined, the loss of muscle and bone mass, is a quick ticket to the grave. The lack of supporting muscle and bone tissue, means that falls are more likely to occur, lengthy hospital stays inevitable, and the immobility created from these sustained injuries, produce further reduction in muscle mass and bone mass. A vicious cycle, which can be stopped in its tracks through the use of peptides such as SARMs.
Despite the controversies, some scientists continued with additional studies and again proved IGF-1 to actually prolong life…at least in worms. Then, in 2001, scientists discovered that the use of IGF-1 resulted in a proliferation of cancer cells, especially throughout the breast and colon, and a 2012 study found that both too much or too little IGF-1 could contribute to dying from cancer; implying that IGF-1 actually helped patients with terminal cancer live longer.
The consumption of such altered compounds may have severe consequences on the user's body and it is critical that they avoid such scenarios. The authorities need to grab the perpetrators responsible for the peddling of these illegal drugs in the market and regulate the black market. Given the many advantages this drug has for the human body and its potential as the all-round supplement, the authorities need to encourage the research and development agencies working on this drugs development. The emphasis should be on making it safer, more side-effect friendly and more compatible to mixing with other anabolic steroids.
These compounds may be considered an improvement on GHRH in terms of ability to induce growth hormone secretion. GHRP, it is thought, causes secretion of greater amounts of GH in the body. Unlike in the case of GHRH, you do not need to aim at specific times to take advantage of pulse produced by your body. Growth hormone releasing peptides produce growth hormone burst practically any time you take them. They are also available in different types, including the following:
Consistent with these data, our group observed a transient inotropic effect of about 15 minutes in both healthy and infarcted rabbits following a single GHRP-6 intravenous bolus (400 µg/kg). Echocardiography recordings indicated a 15%–20% elevation of the ejection fraction as an increase in shortening fraction (Juan Valiente Mustelier and Jorge Berlanga Acosta, unpublished observations, 2007). More recent studies based on isolated murine hearts that underwent periods of ischemia and reperfusion (I/R) confirm that pre- or posttreatments with hexarelin for instance prevented the intracellular disturbances in Ca+2 transients through recovery of p-PLB after the I/R insult.43 Other studies involving adult Wistar rat ventricular myocytes have confirmed the positive inotropic response induced by hexarelin and other secretagogue peptides that bind the GHS-R1a, which activates protein kinase C signaling cascade.44
They appear to be safer than anabolic steroids too, but don’t think that means they’re unequivocally safe to take. Research clearly shows that they do suppress natural testosterone production and negatively impact the endocrine system, and there’s evidence to suggest that they may increase the risk of cancer to a far greater degree than any natural supplement ever will.
As judged by the PubMed outcomes, the cytoprotective effects of synthetic peptidyl GHRP appear far less studied in noncardiac, parenchymal epithelial organs or multiple organ systems than in the cardiovascular system. However, the results of the reviewed studies are consistent with a broad cytoprotective influence for various organs by reducing inflammation and preventing necrosis and/or apoptosis. The mechanism of GHRP-mediated pharmacological actions is shown in Figure 4.
Aside from the limitations of this work to fully elucidate the underlying mechanism by which GHRP-6 mediated the refinement of the wounds fibrogenesis in the rats experiment, an important contribution is the unprecedented evidence that the peptide reduced the onset of HTS in the rabbit’s ear model. This represents an extension of the GHRP-6 antifibrotic potential demonstrated years ago by our group in an animal model of liver fibrosis . Nevertheless, and in contrast to the liver fibrosis data, we have no evidence that GHRP-6 is able to revert the consolidated HTS following repeated experimental attempts. Thus, the reproducible findings regarding GHRP-6-mediated HTS prevention are based on the immediate and consecutive administration of the molecule once the injury is induced.
Ghrelin has many activities in the body besides stimulating GH release. It stimulates appetite, is cardioprotective, can help protect cells against oxidative damage, can reduce inflammation and promote healing, and can promote fat-burning in muscle. There is also some effect on increase in cortisol production via increase in ACTH, and increase in prolactin. However, where the activity of ghrelin is comparable to that which ordinarily occurs during fasting, effects on cortisol and prolactin likewise are comparably only to that experienced while fasting.
There’s no question this is a slightly safer version than GH, but it’s got plenty of athletes in hot H2O for testing the waters. Famously, this is the peptide the Essendon footballers were caught out using which led to the government shutting down regulatory loopholes used to legally get it into Australia. So assess all your risks before you take it then be honest with a doctor if you are considering it, particularly if you want to heal an injury, because your health is far more valuable than any improvements to your reflection.
